I’m Emily Charlotte, owner and lead planner at Weddings by Emily Charlotte. For the last 4 years I have been planning, styling and coordinating luxury weddings in Italy, and more recently in the UK.
It may go without saying, but I like things to look beautiful; even if your day is stripped back and simple, I believe it should still be well done and thought through from beginning to end. As a planner, I am meticulously organised, (I always have a to-do list and a spreadsheet on the go!), but I also love the details that can incorporated into a wedding…tablescapes, floral design, stationery etc. This is where a couple really get to put their own personal stamp on their wedding.
At the end of 2018 I actually put on a pair of fabulous bride-to-be shoes myself, as I got engaged just before Christmas. We’re getting married in Spain in 2020, and I’m so excited to be on the wedding planning journey along with all my couples; now I have the not only the professional insight and industry experience, but also the ability to really to see things through the eyes of a destination bride.
I’m thrilled to be blogging as part of the Luvana family. For me, one of the most important aspects of planning a wedding, particularly when it’s abroad, is knowing you’re working with the right suppliers. Tried and tested, quality professionals that you’re sure you can rely on. Something which Luvana believes in too.
Despite hiring me as a planner, many couples still wish to have strong influence over both their suppliers and also the vision of their day. They want the guidance and expertise of a planner, but also want to have their own creative input; and that’s where I hope to be able to help you as a Luvana bride.
Whether you choose to hire a planner or not, I plan to share my experience and tips on both planning and logistics, and styling and design.
