You are the controller of the data in respect to data that you provide or upload, as such you must comply with the data protection regulations, must have obtained consent from the data subjects for processing their personal data and must have applied all the guarantees required for processing their personal data.

In order to minimise the impact on your privacy, we will never knowingly collect more personal data than is strictly necessary to perform the activities described in this policy.

We may also use information of what you have searched for on the site or your general geographic location, to present you with relevant advertisements.

We use information we collect about how users interact with the site in order to identify and correct faults, improve our services e.g. internal analytics and performance monitoring and inform business decisions, as well as for security and fraud-prevention purposes.

How long do we retain the data

Your data will be deleted or anonymised after your wedding planning is complete with the exception of community content.

Where you have provided your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent to our processing of your information and your use of the platform. For example, you can withdraw your consent to email marketing by using the unsubscribe link in such communications or by changing your account settings. You can choose to withdraw your consent to our processing of your information and your use of the services at any time by deleting your account or by emailing us to request that your personal information be deleted, except for information that we are required to retain by law.

How do we keep Personal Information safe and secure?

We make the confidentiality and security of your personal information our highest priority and we limit access to it to only those employees or contractors who need to come into contact with it in order to fulfil their role and enable the site and/or services to be provided to you. We follow generally accepted standards to protect personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and after it is received. Your account information is protected by a password. Where do we store your information?

The information we collect from you is stored on secure servers.

Retention of information will retain planner information for up to 3 months after the date of the wedding. Supplier information will be retained for all active suppliers. Please note we may also retain log files for internal analysis purposes. These log files are generally retained for a brief period of time, except in cases where they are used for site safety and security, to improve site functionality, or we are legally obligated to retain them for longer time periods.

Do third party platforms comply with this policy? may contain links to third party websites and applications and may sometimes give you the option to export information to those platforms. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the privacy practices of such third party websites.

Data / information belonging to others

Where you provide us with information or data (including sensitive personal data) that relates to another individual, you agree that you have all necessary authority or consent of that individual to enable us to process their personal data (including their “sensitive” personal data to the extent that it is provided) in the provision of the Services.   Unless you ask us to do so sooner, when your user account is deleted, we will delete all reference to data held about these individuals unless the law requires us to keep such data within our records.  You can also choose to delete this data yourself at any time.

If you sell or promote your business using our platform, you may receive and determine what to do with certain personal information, such as when communicating with users and entering into transactions with buyers. This means you process personal information and, to the extent do so, under EU law, you are an independent controller of data relating to other users that you may have obtained through our platform.

Also, if you disclose personal information without the buyer’s proper consent, you are responsible for that unauthorised disclosure. This includes, for example, disclosures you make or unintentional data breaches. For example, you may receive a bride or groom’s email address or other information as a result of entering into a transaction with that bride or groom. This information may only be used for related communications or for facilitated transactions. You may not use this information for unsolicited commercial messages or unauthorised transactions. Without the bride or groom’s consent, and subject to other applicable policies and laws, you may not add any bride or groom or supplier to your email or physical mailing list, use that bride or groom’s identity for marketing, or obtain or retain any payment information. Please bear in mind that you’re responsible for knowing the standard of consent required in any given instance.

If and you are found to be joint data controllers of personal information, and if is sued, fined, or otherwise incurs expenses because of something that you did as a joint data controller of bride or groom’s personal information, you agree to indemnify for the expenses it occurs in connection with your processing of personal information.
